Mama Lil's Steak Sliders

Makes: 6–8 sliders

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb. steak (flank, skirt, or sirloin works well)
  • 1–2 tbsp “Rub with Love Steak Rub
  • Mini brioche buns (6–8)
  • ½ cup Dijonnaise (recipe below)
  • ½ cup Mama Lil’s peppers, drained
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, to taste

DIJONNAISE INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

DIJIONNAISE INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the mayo, Dijon, whole grain mustard, lemon juice, and a few cracks of black pepper until smooth and well combined.
  2. Taste and adjust mustard or lemon to your liking.

SLIDER INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rub the steak generously with Rub with Love Steak Rub.
  2. Let it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes while you prep everything else.
  3. Heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Drizzle the steak lightly with olive oil and grill for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until medium rare.
  5. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  6. While the steak rests, lightly toast the mini brioche bun on the grill or in a skillet until golden.
  7. Spread mayo on the bottom half of each bun.
  8. Add a few slices of steak, a few Mama Lil’s peppers, and top with the bun.
  9. Serve warm and serve.
